Opening of the Exhibition ‘Architecture in Miniature’

On 12 Feb, Kharkiv Museum of Holocaust at 28 Petrovskogo St hosted the opening of Iosif Borisovich Ostashinsky’s exhibition ‘Architecture in Miniature’.

It features miniture churches, cathedrals and synagogues from all over the world created with the help of an unusual technique – using matches, lace and paper. The exhibition is held with the support of the funds ‘Dar’ and ‘Joint’.

Iosif Borisovich is the only author in the world of the unusual genre ‘architecture in miniature’. The work of the artist is presented on the pages of bibliographic reference publications “Художники Украины” (‘Artists of Ukraine’), “Жизнь замечательных людей” (‘Life of Amazing People’) and “Имена Украины” (‘Names of Ukraine’). In 2008, his name was included in the Book of Records of Ukraine. By now, Ostashinsky has had over 60 solo exhibitions in various cities and countries.
