Kharkov starts registration for External Independent Testing

Today, 15 December, at 9 o’clock, saw the start of registration for External Independent Testing of academic achievements, a mandatory prerequisite for admission at university in 2010.

The registration will be carried out until 18.00 on 31 March 2010. Testing results will be announced before 14 July 2010, Ukrainian Academic Achievements Testing Centre said.
This year, the testing organizers intend to keep a closer a watch over school-leavers, Director of the Centre Alexander Sidorenko said. It will be implemented by means of technical equipment and increased number of observers.

Also, according to Mr. Sidorenko, the number of testing centres will be reduced, which will enable them to cut down the expenses. Apart from that, new personal identification procedures will be introduced: each participant must arrive at the testing with a certificate bearing his/her photograph and a numbered hologram, which will be issued directly to participants at registration centres.

The schedule of External Independent Testing is as follows:
2, 3, 4 June – Ukrainian Language and Literature;
7 June – Foreign Language;
9 June – Biology;
11 June – Geography;
14, 15 June – Mathematics;
17, 18 June – History of Ukraine;
21 June – Chemistry;
23 June – Physics.
