The Week of Russian Culture Starts in Kharkov Region

The Week of the Russian Language and Literature has started in Kharkov region. Within the framework of this event, Kharkov Comprehensive School # 101 (http://school101.edu.kh.ua) located at 147/2 Krasnodarskaya Str held open classes in the Russian language and extracurricular activities for the students and teachers of the district.

The classes were given by the teachers who participated in the 2nd round of the Teacher of the Year 2009 Contest in “the Russian language” category, which was first introduced by the City Council’s Board of Education last year.

On 9-10 December over 300 Kharkov school teachers will take part in the 4th International Theoretical and Practical Conference “The expanse of literature is a way to peace, understanding and cooperation among Slavic nations”.

Kharkov Comprehensive School # 5, Kharkov Comprehensive School # 53 (http://school53.edu.kh.ua) and V.G.Korolenko Kharkov State Scientific Library will host meetings between Kharkov students and the city’s creative intelligentsia as well as Russian language and literature teachers of Kharkov’s higher educational institutions.
